As stewards of the ahupua`a, we are intently focused on our kuleana (responsibility) to establish and perpetuate a thriving ahupua`a as an example of healthy interdependent relationships between people and earth’s natural resources. We strive to be a leader in demonstrating Hawaiian approaches to watershed-scale natural resource management. You can kokua (help) by attending a workday or scheduling a group visit. A great idea for the whole family to learn about Hawaiian traditions!
Perhaps more than any of the other islands, Kauai is known for its natural beauty and its dramatic, beautiful sites. These include Waimea Canyon, the Coconut Coast and much more. You’ll find gorgeous mountains and waterfalls, white sand beaches, sugarcane fields, and beachside cliffs. You can also use Kauai exchanges during your vacations.
